We are looking for an AMAZING dental assistant to join our established general dental practice in Tinley Park. Our team is looking for a lead dental assistant with experience who wants to find their DENTAL HOME! Not looking for entry level MONDAY-THURSDAY 7:30AM-6PM -NO WEEKENDS Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics and providing chairside support efficiently and confidently Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as CT Imaging, 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient flow by greeting patients as they arrive, updating medical records in EMR systems like Eaglesoft and scheduling follow-up appointments Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary, ensuring their safety throughout treatment sessions Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and managing inventory of dental supplies Support administrative tasks such as answering the dental receptionist phone line Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry Proficiency in dental software systems for managing medical records and documentation Taking impressions, pouring models and making temporary crowns Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team Certification in coronal polishing is a plus Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes related to dental procedures Pay is based on experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Uniform allowance Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
