Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Our patients are well maintained and enjoy coming to see our team! We have Hu-Friedy EverEdge instruments and Piezo units in each operatory to provide the best prophylaxis/periodontal maintenance visits for our patients. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations Provide conservative periodontal therapy such as Laser bacterial reduction Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos using intraoral camera Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term health Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details in electronic medical record (EMR) using Dentrix software Support infection control procedures, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state requirements Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and documentation review processes Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills Knowledge of medical coding and medical records management to support accurate documentation and billing processes Join our team to make a difference in patientsâ lives through compassionate care and professional excellence.
