Newhouse Periodontics is seeking a motivated, skilled, full-time dental assistant to join our privately owned dental practice. Key Details: Position: Dental Assistant (Full time) Location: Independence, MO Office Hours: Tuesday through Friday 7:30AM-5:30 (no nights or weekends) What we Offer: Pay: Based on Experience Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Care 401K Paid time off Uniforms provided Flexible schedule Training opportunities for CE, skills growth Responsibilities: Assist dentist or hygienist as needed in a variety of procedures Professionally and cordially interact with patients and colleagues Maintain operatory readiness - including set-up and clean-up; Maintain infection control protocols Do lab tasks as needed and instructed Be adaptive to take great care of patients Be attentive to schedule, patient needs, and the overall needs of the office Maintain professional conduct and appearance Maintain accurate patient records Certifications: Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience (required) High school diploma or equivalent (required) CPR certification (required) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Missouri Basic Skills (required) Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) (preferred) Skills: Motivated team player Good communication skills Knowledge of dental instruments Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols Good organizational skills Ability to take good radiographs, CBCT Ability to take impressions (alginate, crown and bridge) Experience with Itero or other intraoral scanners - a plus!
