Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and interpret vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to assess patient health status. Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Review and update medical records accurately while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Conduct patient assessments, review documentation, and assist in medical coding when necessary for insurance or record purposes. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and records management. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric-specific care is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse age groups, especially pediatrics. Prior experience working in general dentistry or dental clinics utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records review, and basic medical coding enhances your ability to support comprehensive patient care.
