Licensed Dental Assistant - Elegant Dental Arts - Freehold, NJ

Job Overview We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our busy, patient-focused practice. Candidates must have a valid NJ Dental Radiologic Technologist license or be actively enrolled in a program to obtain it, along with strong chairside assisting skills and experience working in a fast-paced clinical setting. Duties Assist the dentist during procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments Prepare and maintain treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing supplies, and ensuring equipment is ready for use Take and process dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, while following all radiation safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records using OpenDental in compliance with HIPAA Record vital signs and support diagnostic imaging as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Follow CDC infection control and sterilization standards at all times Support four-handed dentistry to improve workflow and patient comfort Experience Must have valid NJ Dental Radiologic Technologist License, or be currently enrolled in a program to obtain it Experience as a Dental Assistant in general or pediatric practice Proficiency with dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning Familiarity with OpenDental is preferred Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient record management Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional, patient-focused approach Work Location: In person
