Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures; provide chairside support for pediatric patients when needed. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, managing medical records, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding is a plus. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent understanding of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. Familiarity with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools.
