Duties Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as I-Tero while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using Dentrix Ascend, documenting medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding accurately. Provide excellent chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and maintaining a sterile environment through aseptic techniques. Experience Prior experience working in a private dental office setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology is required to ensure high-quality patient care. Proficiency in dental software Dentrix Ascend is advantageous for managing electronic health records efficiently. Certification or training in X-ray techniques, infection control standards, or pediatric dentistry will strengthen your application. Strong understanding of medical documentation processes including medical records management and coding enhances your ability to support clinical workflows effectively.
