Professional Dental Assistant needed at Milpitas, CA dental facility

Immediate opening for a Dental Assistant! We are a successful, expanding private dental practice known for our positive culture and upbeat atmosphere. We’re looking for a highly motivated and coachable Dental Assistant with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within our practice.

• Experience with Dentrix is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare clients for treatments ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as indicated
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Take records, impressions, and x-rays
• Assisting with lab tasks as needed
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records, schedule appointments, assist with payment procedures
• Assist with front office tasks as needed

Skills:

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, coronal polishing is a plus
• Good computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional Certification is a plus
