We’re looking for someone who is: Reliable and committed Flexible and able to adapt A team player who supports others Positive and grounded, even on busy days Dental assisting experience preferred Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring aseptic techniques are meticulously followed to maintain infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow to optimize clinic productivity. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Assist with dental procedures involving anatomy knowledge such as endodontics or prosthodontics, providing chairside support that enhances treatment quality. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental anatomy to effectively support clinical operations. Experience operating EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Skilled in taking X-rays and utilizing medical imaging tools including 3D scanners when necessary. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical setting. Ability to handle administrative tasks such as data entry for medical coding and managing patient records with accuracy. Prior experience supporting pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with familiarity with Epic or other healthcare software systems.
