Job Summary Sunrise Orthodontics is a multi-location private practice seeking a dependable and skilled Orthodontic Assistant (RDA/OA) or a motivated entry-level trainee for a full-time, long-term position. This role involves travel to multiple locations and working in a fast-paced clinical environment. We are prioritizing experienced candidates with an active RDA license or OA permit , while offering limited trainee opportunities for individuals committed to building a career in orthodontics. Read Before Applying This position requires: Travel required between Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Dixon, Placerville, and Roseville (up to 50%) Full-time availability (MondayâFriday) Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Experienced applicants must have ONE of the following: Active RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license Active OA (Orthodontic Assistant) permit If you do not currently hold one of these credentials, apply under the trainee track below. Experienced Orthodontic Assistant (Priority Hire) Pay: $25â$30/hour (based on experience) Requirements: Active RDA license or OA permit Dental or orthodontic assisting experience Ability to assist chairside independently Willingness to travel between all locations Responsibilities: Assist with orthodontic procedures (bonding, banding, archwire changes) Take records (photos, impressions, radiographs, bite registrations) Prepare and manage patient flow efficiently Maintain accurate charting and documentation Entry-Level Trainee (Limited Openings) Pay: $18â$21/hour Requirements: Interest in a long-term career in dental/orthodontics Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to learn quickly in a clinical setting Willingness to travel between all locations Responsibilities: Support sterilization and operatory setup Assist with patient preparation and clinic flow Learn orthodontic assisting procedures under supervision Core Responsibilities (All Team Members) Maintain sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance Prepare and break down operatories Ensure clinic cleanliness and organization Support lab tasks and case management Provide professional, positive patient care Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Radiology certification (required for experienced applicants) Strong communication skills with patients and team Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Dependable, team-oriented, and professional Benefits Health insurance 401(k) with matching up to 4% Paid time off (sick and vacation) Uniform allowance How to Apply Submit your resume and include: âRDA/OAâ or âTRAINEEâ in your application Confirmation of your license status (active RDA/OA or none) Applications that do not include this information will not be reviewed.
