Dental Assistant for our Patient-Focused Private Practice
Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Newberg, OR

We are a patient-centered private dental practice in Newberg, Oregon committed to providing compassionate, high-quality and conservative care in a welcoming environment. Our team values professionalism, teamwork, and creating positive experiences for every patient. We are searching for a motivated and reliable candidate to join our team. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor and positive attitude with office staff and patients. Must also be able to multitask, be self-motivated and flexible.

This position is full time. Hours are Monday - Wednesday 7:15am - 5:30pm and Thursdays 6:30am - 4pm (Time may vary slightly for patient needs).
What You'll Do:
~ Greeting and preparing patients for treatment, ensuring comfort throughout and after their visit.
~ Recording patient information in charts and updating dental charts as needed
~ Assist the dentist chairside with a variety of procedures including surgical and endodontic
~ Take dental x-rays, CBCT scans and Panoramic x-rays (as allowed by state requirements)
~ Setting up dental trays for procedures
~ Keep treatment rooms clean, stocked, and organized
~ Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe, clean environment
~ Share oral health tips and post-care instructions with patients
~ Inventory products and ordering
~ Learn how to scan intraorally using Trios 4, then design and fabricate crowns
~ Lab work making retainers and temporary crowns
~ Opportunity to go on Dental volunteer trips to other countries
What We're Looking For:
~ Dental Assistant certification, EFDA, RHS(preferred)
~CPR certification (or willingness to complete it)
~ A caring, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
~ Someone who is reliable, organized, and communicates well
~ Previous experience with dental software (Open Dental) is a bonus, but not required
