Responsibilities Welcome patients into the treatment room Prepare treatment rooms for patients Select and set up trays, instruments and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the doctor for all patient procedures Maintain accurate patient records in the patient Dentrix chart Take digital x-rays and intra-oral photos Undertake lab tasks as needed Provide post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule follow up appointments from the treatment room Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to take impressions Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Fulton, NY 13069: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
