Responsibilities: Welcoming patients in the dental office Making patients feel comfortable and informed during their visit Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilizing instruments according to regulations Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertaking lab tasks as instructed Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Ensuring our office is a welcoming and organized space Scheduling appointments Skills: Proven experience as a dental assistant A passion for oral health and making patients feel at ease Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Good computer skills Exceptional communication and teamwork skills An eye for detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Free parking On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Work Location: In person
