Responsibilities Ensure patient records, including medical histories are up to date. Take necessary x-rays and scans per the patients unique history Perform prophylaxis , perio scaling and root planing as indicated. Educate patients on their overall dental health and discuss solutions to assist them in achieving optimal dental health. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following strict infection control procedures, sterilization standards, and OSHA guidelines. Support administrative tasks such as reviewing documentation for accuracy and assisting with medical coding for billing purposes. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care delivery. Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry settings. Proficiency with dental software for documentation and scheduling purposes. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and dental terminology. Familiarity with medical records management, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups.
