Registered Dental Hygienist - URGENT - Millpond Family Dental - Cary, NC

We are a private practice in Cary, who focus on patient education and care. We are looking for someone who is compassionate about dental care & who wants to work with a happy & caring team! Fun fact - Dr. Stephen Harward is a hygienist turned dentist! DUTIES - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including: cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take dental x-rays (must be x-ray certified) - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions - Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic dental records systems - Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and oral health screenings - Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional comprehensive patient care QUALIFICATIONS - Valid state dental hygiene license - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program - Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred, but not required - Knowledge of dental systems and procedures - Familiarity with dental coding for dental procedures - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity - Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions Experience with Open Dental is preferred, but not required. We are open Tuesday-Thursday from 8AM-5PM, Fridays from 8AM-2PM, with arrival time at 7:35AM. Pay: $52.00 - $56.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Paid time off Work Location: In person
