Overview We are a growing, patient-focused dental practice seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team immediately. This position is initially temporary to support a team member on leave, with the potential to transition into a permanent role as our practice continues to grow. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Job Type: Part Time 3-4 days (Temporary with Potential for Permanent Position) Salary: $18 - $22 / hour Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to restorative, oral surgery and endodontics Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment Take dental x-rays Utilize 3D scanners for capturing precise digital impressions Educate patients on post-treatment care Manufacture temporary crowns Perform quality impressions and bite registrations Support patient charting for doctors Perform various office tasks as necessary Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction Experience / Qualifications: 1-2 years of dental assisting experience is strongly preferred Current x-ray certification required Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care High school diploma or equivalent Active license, registration, or permit as required by Pennsylvania, including x-ray certification Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
