J.T. Herres Dental Solutions is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Mount Joy. Whether you’re an experienced assistant or someone new to the field of dentistry, we welcome motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow. Our practice is a modern, boutique-style office with a strong base of PPO and fee-for-service patients. We do not participate in Medicaid or DHMO plans, allowing us to focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. What We’re Looking For Strong communication and interpersonal skills Genuine empathy and a patient-first mindset Positive attitude with a sense of humor Team-oriented and dependable Schedule Monday through Thursday No evenings Fridays and weekends off Key Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients in a friendly and professional manner Assist the dentist during procedures Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms Take digital diagnostic images as prescribed Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Follow infection control protocols between patients Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient care and equipment needs Required Skills & Abilities Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical protocols Ability to operate and maintain dental equipment Pennsylvania Radiology certification for dental assistants Commitment to teamwork and a positive workplace culture Focus on patient comfort and satisfaction Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods Comfortable working at a computer when needed Ability to lift up to 15 pounds Benefits Daily bonus program (in addition to hourly pay) Paid time off and holidays Health insurance Dental benefits 401(k) savings plan Opportunities for career growth and advancement We offer a competitive salary based on experience.
