Responsibilities Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safety and personalized care Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside assistance, ensuring smooth workflow Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, and review documentation for completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing reassurance and addressing concerns promptly Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup Familiarity with medical coding, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and documentation review processes Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient needs Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical assessment procedures Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
