Youâll be a great fit if: You are mission-minded and committed to providing great oral health care to the underserved You can interact positively with a diverse patient population, of all ages, backgrounds, and personalities and provide care in a manner that is appropriate and meets patientâs individualized needs You are confident in delivering direct patient care, including Assessment of patientâs general health and readiness to undergo dental treatment Evaluation and diagnosis of dental conditions Performing procedures involved in the scope of general dentistry, including fillings, extractions, basic endodontics, basic fixed and removable prosthodontics You can apply evidence-based diagnostic and treatment techniques to meet accepted standards of dental care You can effectively communicate and educate patients on the importance of oral health and work alongside them as they work to achieve a state of oral health You are comfortable and enjoy treating pediatric patients You have a positive and innovative attitude toward the interdisciplinary delivery of dental care. To be considered, youâll need: Degree in Dental Medicine (DMD) or Dental Surgery (DDS) from an accredited school of dentistry Unrestricted license to practice Dentistry in the state of South Carolina. Current CPR (BLS) certification Current Federal and State controlled substances registration numbers. Eligibility to obtain South Carolina Medicaid provider status 3-5 years of clinical experience or completion of an accredited AEGD or GPR residency program, preferred.
