JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION Position Title: Dental Hygienist Effective Date: 4/1/26 Reports To: Practice Dentist or Associate Dentist, as associated The Dental Hygienist is the chief preventive provider of the Practice. This team member motivates, educates, and provides excellent treatment. Under indirect supervision, the Dental Hygienist will remove hard and soft deposits from teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. He or she will educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take and develop X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. By discovering and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license Proficiency in chairside assisting and patient care Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records Experience with dental software Knowledge of aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations Ability to perform patient assessments and document findings Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $40.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Work Location: In person
