Surgical Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Ewing Orthodontics - Dickson, TN

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Surgical Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team. This role includes assisting with dental surgery cases in the Nashville area, as well as supporting in-office surgical preparation and patient coordination. Key Responsibilities Travel to surgical locations in the Nashville area 1–3 days per week Assist during surgical procedures Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments Organize and prepare patient records, charts, and surgical documentation Provide pre- and post-operative patient support and instructions Monitor patients during procedures, including nitrous oxide Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards Schedule Details Surgery days: 6:00 AM start, typically finished by 12:00 PM Non-surgery days: Assist with case prep, patient records, and office support Must be reliable and punctual for early surgical start times Requirements Active RDA license (Required) Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Monitoring certifications (Required or willingness to obtain quickly) At least 1 year of dental assisting experience (surgical experience preferred) Willingness and ability to travel to the Nashville area Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dependable, flexible, and able to handle early morning responsibilities What We’re Looking For A team player with a strong work ethic Someone comfortable in a fast-paced surgical environment A self-starter who can manage both clinical and administrative prep work Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
