Qualifications At least 2 years of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience (required) Dependable and consistent availability Patient-centered attitude with strong attention to detail and professionalism Key Responsibilities Chairside assistance to the orthodontist during examinations and treatment Set up and break down treatment rooms; follow sterilization and infection control protocols Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) Accurate charting and documentation using orthodontic practice management software Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions Assist with orthodontic appliance delivery, adjustments, repairs, and maintenance Monitor and maintain inventory of clinical supplies and equipment Support scheduling and organization of patient records as needed Required Knowledge & Skills Dental charting and clinical documentation standards Infection control, sterilization, and aseptic techniques Dental terminology and basic oral anatomy Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment As an Orthodontic Assistant at Timberwood Family Orthodontics, youâll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
