Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Registered Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage electronic health records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; accurately document patient information, medical history, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control guidelines; ensure all dental tools are properly maintained and ready for use. Support administrative duties such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation and records. Measure vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before procedures; communicate clearly about treatment plans in both English and the second language to ensure understanding. Assist with medical coding for billing purposes and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with healthcare standards. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry experience. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry practices. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and data privacy. Bilingual fluency (English and another language) is required to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
