Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging or assessments for patients requiring special attention or pediatric care. Support administrative tasks by acting as a dental receptionistâanswering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards; utilize knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to support accurate procedures. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry cases; familiarity with pediatric-specific protocols is highly desirable.
