Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our brand new dental team. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Maintain organization and cleanliness of dental practice. Assist dentist chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take dental x-rays and 3D scans with CBCT ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis. Take intraoral scans using Medit technology and photos of patients for records and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as OpenDental, ensuring all medical and dental documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Record vital signs and medical history, and update medical records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Provide excellent dental assisting support by managing dental terminology, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits. Support the dental receptionist team by confirming appointments and managing patient flow efficiently. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current state licensure or registration. Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with general dentistry backgrounds. Proficiency with dental software such as OpenDental for scheduling and recordkeeping. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology. Ability to operate x-ray equipment safely and effectively; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning medical records and data privacy. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
