Part-time Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Brush Dental - Royse City, TX

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The position will be two days to start, with more days added as schedule allows. Our office is equipped with Isodry and Cavitron equipped in each operatory, and Nomad. The hygienists will be supported by RDAs, with RDA taking radiographs. Tues-Fri available. 10-5 as tentative hours. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings and periodontal therapy while adhering to infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as needed. Utilize Dentrix, for scheduling and managing patient records. Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficient in patient assessment techniques and understanding of general dentistry principles. Knowledge of medical coding and familiarity with maintaining medical records. Strong understanding of infection control standards within a dental setting. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort. Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
