We are hiring a Bilingual Dental Assistant / Patient Care Leader to join our growing dental team. This is a hybrid role combining both assisting the Doctor in basic and surgical procedures, assisting the hygiene team with X-rays and charting, as well as working with the front office team; checking patients in and out, scheduling, treatment planning and presenting treatment. No prior dental experience is requiredâwe provide training for the right candidate. We are wanting to train an assistant to be able to provide a wide variety of tasks from general restorative, surgery, sedation and implants as well as front office tasks, scheduling and answering phones We are open M-Th from 8-5, assistants can expect to work from 7:45am-6:00pm and schedule may change depending on business needs. Responsibilities Dental Assistant Duties Assist Dentist in restorative and surgical procedures Assist hygienists Stock rooms with supplies Sterilize instruments Complete lab forms/lab work Communicate with labs Take x-rays Update patient chart, paperwork and consents Ensure proper treatment is scheduled for each patient Ensure correct procedures are posted for each patient Take efficient and detailed notes of each procedure Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Perio charting with the hygienist Office maintenance tasks (opening/closing checklist, cleaning, maintenance on machines etc) Front Office Duties Check patients in and out Take patient payment at time of service Review and discuss treatment with patients Review financials of treatment with the patient Answer phones and respond to patient questions Schedule, confirm and manage appointments Schedule periodic appointments for hygiene Provide a great patient experience Verify insurance and balance due Skills Phone Etiquette Compassion for others Ability to find things to do to stay busy Work well with others Patient with training all aspects of the office and a good attitude doing all jobs needed Requirements Fluent in English and Spanish Willingness to learn and accept feedback/coaching Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Competence in managing tasks and following routines and systems Empathetic with our patients needs and concerns Good attitude Flexible and willing to help where the team needs most Preferred (Not Required): Experience in dental assisting or medical office work Knowledge of dental software or scheduling systems Understanding of HIPAA requirements and compliance Benefits: Dental Benefits (after training/onboarding period) Paid training (no experience needed) Opportunities for growth and advancement Team outings and fun team growth opportunities Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Language: Spanish (Preferred) Work Location: In person
