Position Title: Dental Hygienist Assistant Location: Fredericksburg, VA Job Type: Contract (Travel or Local) Shift: Per Diem Duration: Up to 52 weeks (based on candidate preference) Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist Assistant to support clinical operations and assist in delivering high-quality preventive oral care. This role plays a key part in ensuring an efficient workflow, maintaining a sterile environment, and enhancing the overall patient experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for procedures Assist the dental hygienist during cleanings, scaling, and preventive treatments Set up and break down operatories in accordance with infection control protocols Record patient vital signs and medical histories as required Sterilize, process, and organize dental instruments following compliance standards Escort patients and prepare them for treatment to maintain smooth patient flow Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance to patients Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical charting Monitor inventory and restock hygiene supplies as needed Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment at all times Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent OR minimum of one (1) year of dental assisting or hygiene support experience Basic understanding of dental procedures and infection control practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required by facility) 1–2 years of relevant experience Preferred: Experience assisting a dental hygienist or dentist in a clinical setting Familiarity with dental software systems Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program Dental Assistant Certification or related clinical certification For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
