Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Navitas Partners
Position Title: Dental Hygienist Assistant Location: Alexandria, VA Job Type: Contract (Travel or Local) Shift: Per Diem Duration: Up to 52 weeks (based on candidate preference) Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality preventive oral care. In this role, you will assist the dental hygienist with clinical procedures, ensure efficient patient flow, and help maintain a clean and organized treatment environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials for hygiene procedures Assist during cleanings, scaling, and other preventive treatments Set up and break down operatories in compliance with infection control protocols Record patient vitals and medical history as required Sterilize and organize dental instruments according to standards Escort and prepare patients for treatment Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-care guidance Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting Monitor and restock hygiene supplies Ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment Skills & Experience Required: Experience in a dental setting (supporting a hygienist or dentist) Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control practices Preferred: Familiarity with dental software systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent OR Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting or hygiene support experience Preferred: Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program Certifications & Licensure Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable) 1â2 years of relevant experience Preferred: Dental Assistant Certification or equivalent clinical certification For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
