Duties Assisting with patient hygiene appointments Assist the dentist during pediatric restorative dental procedures. This is a requirement for this role. The ideal candidate fit for this role needs to be dynamic and should have the capability to work within both the hygiene open bay & the OP room. Sterilizing instruments, keeping supplies stocked, and ensuring all clinical areas are prepared accordingly. Take high quality dental radiographs. Record very detailed clinical notes for all appointments. Uphold professional communication and demeaner at all times. Educate young patients oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment Creating treatment plans based off dentist's recommendations & communicating effectively with our Treatment Coordinator. Conduct nightly office cleaning tasks with other team members. Experience Prior experience working as a dental assistant is required. Pediatric is preferred. Proficiency in dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and using Dentrix. The ideal candidate must have a radiation certificate. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures, anatomy, and dental terminology is required. Familiarity with infection control practices / OSHA standards & regulations.
