Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Wauwatosa, WI
Overview: Midwest Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking a Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant to support our specialty provider across multiple locations. This is a unique opportunity for a flexible, team-oriented assistant who enjoys variety and working alongside a periodontal specialist. Travel to all listed locations is required. Schedule & Locations This position follows a set weekly travel schedule : Mondays: Wauwatosa Tuesdays: Sheboygan Wednesdays: Oshkosh Thursdays & Fridays: Green Bay Currently, the provider works 10 days per month , with plans to increase to approximately 15 days per month starting in June . There is also an opportunity to pick up additional hours as a general dental assistant at supported offices during non-perio days. Schedule (days/hours): Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-4:00pm Responsibilities: Assist the periodontist chairside during surgical and non-surgical procedures Prepare and break down operatories for perio treatments Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols Take dental radiographs as needed Support patient education and post-operative instructions Travel between assigned offices and adapt to different team environments Qualifications: Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date) Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care Compensation: $25-$30/hr About: Benefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off (âPTOâ), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.
