Dental facility seeking Front Office / Back office for our West LA Practice
Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Los Angeles, CA

Who We Are
Small two operatory practice focused on unrushed, excellent patient care. We only see one patient at a time.
Who We're looking for
-
Current Basic life support (CPR) Certification.

Radiation Safety Certificate (X-ray license).
-
Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures specific to a dental office environment.

Good communication skills.
-
Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.
Responsibilities
-
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
-
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
-
Assist the dentist during examinations
-
Conduct work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
-
Record medical and dental histories in the patient’s chart.
-
Greet patients upon arrival and answering incoming phone calls.
-
Conduct patient health screening.
-
Perform diagnostic quality dental radiographic procedures. (Once trained and certified)
-
Assist in supporting patient retention by following established scheduling guidelines and protocols.

Ensure patients have updated all necessary paperwork prior to treatment.

Call and reactivation patient lists to ensure openings in the practice schedule are filled.

Collecting payments from patients at the time of treatment and scheduling future patient appointments.
-
Ensure that patient records are accurate and complete, and that patient confidentiality is strictly maintained.

Monitor and organize outgoing/incoming patient referrals and specialist updates.
-
Dispatch lab work appropriately and check in lab cases as they arrive.

Maintain an appropriate office environment through cooperation and teamwork.

Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Verify and submit pre-auths and completed procedures to Insurance
- Monitor inventory and order supplies.
- Patient billing through our practice management software.
