Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and documentation review processes Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice Proven experience with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry settings is highly desirable Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology is a plus Ability to perform chairside assisting duties and handle medical imaging equipment confidently Join us in creating healthier smiles while advancing your career in a vibrant, patient-focused environment.
