Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team part time on Fridays from 8-12. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional cleanings and educating patients on oral health. Your expertise will help ensure our patients enjoy healthy smiles while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Maintain a sterile environment through strict infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper sterilization of instruments. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for pediatric patients in a friendly manner. Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs in general dentistry settings.
