Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Maintain a sterile environment through strict infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper sterilization of instruments. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for pediatric patients in a friendly manner. Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
