Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and medical imaging to support patient assessments and safety during procedures. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to HIPAA regulations and proper sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records with precision. Skills Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR systems), especially Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficiency and comfort. Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures to pediatric patients and their guardians effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information.
