Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Hollywood, FL

Dental Assistant (Experienced) | Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish) Full-Time | Monday â Friday | 9:00 AM â 5:00 PM Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your skill, organization, and teamwork will directly impact patient care and daily operations. In this role, you will support the doctor chairside, maintain clinical efficiency, and help ensure a smooth workflow between the front and back office. You will be working as part of a team of three dental assistants , supporting one another to maintain efficiency, organization, and high-quality patient care throughout the day. We are a fast-paced, patient-centered practice that values professionalism, accountability, and strong team collaboration. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready Assist the doctor during procedures (general dentistry and oral surgery) using proper chairside techniques Take high-quality digital X-rays and assist with intraoral scanners Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols, including proper use of autoclave Accurately update patient charts and clinical documentation Support patient flow and ensure efficiency in the back office Track and manage lab cases (incoming/outgoing) and follow up as needed Monitor inventory, track shortages, and proactively coordinate supply ordering needs Assist in building and organizing treatment plans when required Educate patients and reinforce doctorâs instructions after treatment Communicate clearly with the front desk to coordinate scheduling and case flow Take clear and organized notes of the doctorâs daily instructions and clinical preferences Review the next dayâs schedule in advance to ensure full preparation and readiness Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (required) Experience with general dentistry and oral surgery procedures Ability to take digital X-rays and use scanners Experience with Dentrix, Curve Dental, or similar systems Knowledge of sterilization protocols and autoclave use Strong understanding of patient charting and clinical workflows Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills Professional appearance and attention to cleanliness and presentation Ability to follow instructions while maintaining a proactive attitude Preferred (Not Required) Experience as a Lead Dental Assistant Experience managing workflow and back office organization Experience supporting treatment planning and case presentation Leadership skills and ability to guide or support other assistants Hygienist background is a strong plus and ability to support overall team flow when needed Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly valued but not required Team Environment & Expectations You will be working closely within a team of three assistants , requiring strong coordination and communication Strong communication between back office and front desk is essential Must be willing to support different areas of the office when needed (including assisting front desk flow) Must work as part of a team and support overall office operations Leadership mindset is valued, but always within a respectful team structure Ability to take initiative without disrupting workflow or roles Professionalism, respect, and accountability are expected at all times Schedule Monday â Friday 9:00 AM â 5:00 PM Important: Only candidates with verifiable dental assisting experience will be considered.
