Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization procedures following infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, accurately documenting procedures and medical histories. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during treatments. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote overall health. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for medical documentation and records management. Certification in X-ray technology and proficiency in taking high-quality dental radiographs. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with the dental team. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is highly desirable. Competence in using 3D scanners and medical imaging tools to support comprehensive patient care.
