Duties Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and sedations. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Monitor vital signs and medical history of young patients to ensure safety throughout procedures Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures tailored for pediatrics Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on pediatric dentistry or general dentistry clinics Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health care Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, including digital X-ray systems Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation; Opendental Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a dental setting Strong understanding of dental assisting best practices including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and patient communication Join us to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives by providing compassionate, expert dental care.
