Registered Dental Hygienist - Dental Station - Waco, TX

Overview Our established private practice is seeking a candidate dedicated to the well being of our patients. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing Conduct patient assessments Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations Take X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to pediatric dentistry needs when applicable Ensure all documentation review, medical coding, and billing procedures are accurately completed for each patient visit Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and empathy. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Proven experience working in a dental office Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes Knowledge of vital signs measurement, medical imaging techniques, and general dentistry procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care, education, and team collaboration.
