Job Overview Life Smiles Dental Care is a thriving private practice with three busy general dentists and an amazing team. We're located just minutes off the 51 at Tatum and Shea in Phoenix. Weâre currently looking to add a full-time dental assistant to our dedicated dental team, days to include Monday-Wednesday and Friday. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Starting $24.00â$28.00 per hour, depending on experience Expected Hours: 36-40 hours per week Responsibilities Assist dentists during exams and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed Accurately record patient medical histories and vital signs Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative instructions Help manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Support administrative tasks such as record keeping and occasional coding Skills & Qualifications Proficient in dental assisting techniques and chairside support Strong understanding of infection control and safety procedures Experience with pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics is a plus Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software Ability to take accurate vital signs and support patient assessments Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork Basic knowledge of medical coding and billing practices is helpful Please provide 1-2 personal references (name and phone/email) that can speak to your character traits and work ethic.
