Permanent Dental Assistant Job

Job Summary Join our wonderful team as a Dental Assistant - II, where you can make a difference in our patients' lives. We have a general dental practice located in the heart of Hickory, NC and we are looking to expand our team! Pay is negotiable based on your experience and we have production bonuses available every month! We work Monday through Thursday with a lunch break each day. You will support our dentists in delivering exceptional dental treatments across general dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and endodontics. Every day is exciting and different! Your proactive approach to chairside assisting, infection control, and clinical note documentation will ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting while making a meaningful difference in peopleâs oral health. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care. NOTE: We are happy to train you on the job with any procedures/techniques you are unfamiliar with Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up instruments, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure patient safety at all times. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures. Qualifications Must have DA-II certification Must have at least 6 months experience as a DA-II. Pay will be based on qualifications with room for compensation increases Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols Must have experience chair side assisting with basic restorative (fillings, crowns, etc) Demonstrated commitment to infection prevention techniques including aseptic technique and sterilization processes.
