Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, energetic and self motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation, will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting duties including vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and providing support during four-handed dentistry procedures. Educate patients on dental health practices and post-treatment care instructions using clear dental terminology. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist mindset and managing medical records efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control procedures and sterilization protocols. Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant with current certification. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Carestack; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards; experience with medical imaging is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation requirements. Experience supporting specialized areas like prosthodontics or endodontics is preferred but not required.
