Job Overview We are seeking a Dental Assistant who loves being part of a dynamic and high energy work environment. The ideal candidate will provide support to our clinicians, ensure excellent patient care and a smooth workflow within the practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed. Take and develop X-rays, utilizing medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners as needed. Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Monitor vital signs and provide support to patients throughout their treatment. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when necessary. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use. Skills Proficient in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with pediatric patients is essential. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
