Dental Hygienist (RDH) â Periodontal Specialty Practice Periodontic Associates of Port Huron | Port Huron, MI Mon / Tue / Wed | $40 â $45/hr | New seat with room to grow About Us Periodontic Associates of Port Huron is a referral-based periodontal and dental implant specialty practice serving the Thumb region of Michigan. We are not a high-volume general office. Every patient who sits in our chair has been referred to us by another doctor because they need expertise â and our job is to deliver it with empathy, education, and clinical precision. Our patients consistently describe the same experience in their reviews: "They listened to me. They explained everything. I understood what was happening. I felt cared for." That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because every member of our team â from reception to hygiene to surgery to financial coordination â operates inside a deliberate, structured patient experience. We invest in our people, our protocols, and our technology so that we can keep delivering it. We are 5.0 stars across 325+ reviews. We intend to keep it that way. About This Seat We are opening a new hygiene seat â three days per week to start (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), with the opportunity to expand into a larger role over time as you grow with us. This is not a "fill the column" hire. We are looking for the right person to join the team long-term. In a periodontal practice, the hygienist is not a prophy technician â you are a clinician, an educator, and often the person who first helps a patient understand what is actually happening in their mouth. Your work directly drives diagnosis, case acceptance, and long-term patient retention. We will give you the training, the time, and the technology to do that work well. What You'll Do Provide periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing (SRP), and post-surgical follow-up care for our patients Take and review intraoral photos and CBCT imaging with patients on chairside monitors as part of our visual education model Participate in our structured intake interview â we use a Communication Triangle approach (connect â listen â educate â recommend) and you will be trained in it Document thoroughly and accurately using Open Dental Administer local anesthesia and monitor nitrous oxide as needed Collaborate closely with our doctors (Periodontists), assistants, treatment coordinators, and business team Help patients move from confusion to clarity â so they can confidently say yes to the care they need Who You Are This role rewards a specific kind of clinician. You will thrive here if you are: Clinically precise. You take pride in the quality of every cleaning, every measurement, every chart entry. Details matter to you. Protocol-disciplined. You follow the established standard of care every time, not just when convenient. If we agree on how we do something, that's how we do it. Ambitious to grow. You want to expand your skills, take on more responsibility over time, and become a deeper clinician â not just clock in and out. A patient communicator who can flex your style â some patients need to hear it twice, some need a chart, some need a story A team player who respects the contributions of every role in the practice Required Active Michigan RDH license Local Anesthesia certification Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification Current CPR/BLS New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. If you have the foundation and the right wiring, we will invest in your growth. Compensation & Benefits $40.00 â $45.00 per hour , depending on experience Health insurance 401(k) with Safe Harbor match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays after 90 days Uniforms provided A team that respects you, a doctor who teaches, and patients who appreciate you How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
