Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews, to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, prosthodontics, and root canal therapy. Conduct dental extractions and oral surgery procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Utilize dental imaging tools and medical imaging technology to diagnose dental conditions accurately. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental wellness. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Manage medical records effectively using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Stay current with advancements in dentistry, including endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties relevant to general practice. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other advanced procedures within a general dentistry scope. Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and the use of digital radiography equipment. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile clinical setting. Prior experience working with practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
