Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care to foster lifelong healthy habits. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments. Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment by following infection control standards and ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized. Monitor patients’ vital signs during appointments and recognize signs that require immediate attention or referral. Experience Proficiency with Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
