Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist – Athens Area Pediatric Dentistry Watkinsville, GA | Part-Time, 2–3 Days/Week About Us Athens Area Pediatric Dentistry is a small, family-owned pediatric dental practice in Watkinsville, GA, led by Dr. John Hansford — a double board-certified pediatric dentist and dental anesthesiologist. We specialize in fear-free pediatric care, in-office dental anesthesia, and we proudly serve a significant number of patients with special needs. The Role We're looking for a warm, playful, and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time, consistent schedule. Schedule: Every Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Every other Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (2–3 days per week, approximately 10–12 days per month) Compensation: $48–$52/hour, based on experience What You'll Do: Perform dental cleanings, exams, and preventive treatments for pediatric patients Apply fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Take and review X-rays and document findings Sterilize instruments, enter patient notes, perform end-of-day duties, and support the clinical team as needed Educate children and parents on oral hygiene in a fun, age-appropriate way Support a calm, positive experience for anxious and special needs patients Collaborate with Dr. Hansford and our clinical team What We're Looking For: Active RDH license in Georgia (required) A genuine love for children and the patience to make them feel truly comfortable Someone playful and personable at the chair — and highly effective at the same time Experience with special needs patients is a big plus Pediatric experience preferred — but passion and the right personality go a long way Calm, warm, and reassuring chairside manner Reliable, punctual, and a true team player Open Dental experience a plus (not required) Why You'll Love It Here: Consistent part-time schedule that works around your life Meaningful, mission-driven work with kids and families who truly need us Fear-free, no-rush philosophy — we do dentistry the right way Supportive, close-knit team in a warm, welcoming environment Watkinsville, GA — a charming community just outside Athens Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour Work Location: In person
