The ideal candidate provides outstanding dental care, educates our dental family about oral hygiene, and supports the dentists and the entire team in delivering exceptional patient treatment. Job Description Provide exceptional care for our dental families. Pre-appointment preparation. Maintain compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols. Prepare and maintain hygiene operatories, instruments, supplies, and equipment. Attend Morning Huddles. Discuss patient's care needs, review dental and medical charts during morning huddle. Monitor patient's comfort, on arrival, during, and completion of treatment. Review and accurately update with the patient - medical and dental chart. Accurately chart and document each patients periodontal health. Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients. Perform scaling, root planing, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate. Perform routine oral exams and accurately chart and document findings. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. Taking digital radiographs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, or possible treatment. Communicate with Dr. Strickland before patient exam any findings, concerns, possible treatment or care the patient may need. Assist Dr. Strickland during examinations. Accurately chart and document pre-existing, and future treatment diagnosed by Dr. Strickland. Qualifications Provide exceptional care for our dental families. Current State licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in performing oral hygiene, periodontal therapy (including full mouth debridement, scaling, and root planing), periodontal charting, pre-existing charting, educating oral health and techniques. Excellent attention to detail and clinical judgement. Working knowledge of Dentrix. Excellent digital radiograph skill-set taking full mouth series, bite-wings, etc. Strong communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain an effective team-oriented environment with and for the entire dental family.
