Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This role involves working closely with dentists and patients to promote oral health and ensure a comfortable experience for all patients. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ oral health, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain accurate medical records using software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients. Participate in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards. Utilize medical imaging technology effectively to assist in diagnostics. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation review is essential. Knowledge of pediatric and general dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
