Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Yuma, AZ
Looking for an experienced 3 years plus experience, responsibilities are to perform tasks that will prepare patients for dental treatment. Ensuring all patients are seen at their scheduled time, welcoming patients, verifying all consents are signed, medical history is reviewed and confirmed by the patient, blood pressure is taken. It is the assistantâs responsibility to learn and obtain knowledge of every procedure in order to thoroughly understand diagnosed treatment and follow treatment plans. Dental Assistants must take readable x-rays and label them correctly, clinical notes are to be charted with the codes that corresponds with their insurances, all clinical diagnoses are to be personalized to the patient/ tooth, all referrals documents must be scanned and imported into patientâs files. In addition, Assistants are to ensure all instruments and materials needed for the dental procedure are present in the room during treatment, all instruments are scrubbed, package and sterilized correctly. As well as Properly wiping down and setting up treatment rooms, maintain a safe and clean working environment (included sweeping and mopping operatories) by complying with OSHA rules and regulations, ensuring all infection-control policies and protocols are being followed. It is also the responsibility of the assistants to ensure all impressions sent to a Lab have a lab slip completely filled out correctly and imported before the end of the day. Patients must be informed and educated of next appointment. Previous Dental Experience Required. Bi-lingual (Spanish). X-ray Certification preferred. Coronal Polish Certification preferred. Registered Dental Assistant Certification preferred.
